IMPORTANCE OF YOUR CHILD’S DENTAL HOME

In support of guidelines by the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP), we recommend that all children establish a Dental Home by the age of one year to receive comprehensive oral healthcare. By starting dental visits at an early age, you will help your child have a positive outlook towards dental care throughout life. With specialty training and a fun environment, we hope to give your child an amazing dental experience, starting at a very young age.

The first visit at the dentist’s office is an adventure for young children. Some children will come in excited and some will feel apprehensive. During the first dental health visit we will review your child’s medical history and past dental experiences, complete a comprehensive dental exam, take dental radiographs (if appropriate), customize anticipatory guidance, complete a dental prophylaxis and apply fluoride. Oral Hygiene instructions, including proper brushing techniques, will be discussed, along with dietary guidance for excellent oral health.  You will then have the opportunity to ask any and all questions about your child.
